born in Dusseldorf, Germany. Claudia was raised the
oldest of three other siblings by Claudia Schiffer parents,
Hienze and Gudrun Schiffer. As a child growing up, Claudia
did not wish to become a model, rather she wanted to
be a lawyer and work in her father's successful law
firm. Claudia was discovered dancing in a Dusseldorf
disco in October 87 by Michel Levaton and became one

Helena Christensen
Born on Christmas day
to a Danish father and Peruvian mother, Helena grew
up in Denmark. Her childhood interests included music
and photography. In 1986 she was selected as Miss Denmark
and competed in the Miss Universe pageant. Following
this experience, Helena left her home for Paris at the
age of 18 to pursue a modeling career. There she excelled
immediately, after a shoot for Elle Magazine. A cover
shoot by Peter Lindbergh for Vogue followed, and within
a short period, Helena was getting prominent contracts
from leading designers on both sides of the Atlantic.

Elle was born in Sydney,
Australia. Elle's original plan was to study pre-law
at Sydney University, but when the 18-year old beauty
was discovered in Aspen, Colorado, she was immediately
signed to the Click modeling agency. She soon became
a staple of Elle magazine, posing for the magazine for
6 years. While her talent as a model was undeniable,
her marriage to the fashion magazine's creative director,
Gilles Bensimon, further secured her relationship with

Kate Moss was discovered
by Sarah Doukas of Storm Agency at JFK Airport when
Kate was fourteen. After being featured in the British
magazine The Face, Kate caught the eye of Harper's Bazaar
editor-in-chief Liz Tilberis who featured Kate Moss
in the September 1992 relaunch issue. Calvin Klein then
signed kate moss, and through his media saturation landed
kate moss image on every magazine, bus stop, and billboard
in North America.

Born in St.Catharine's, Ontario, Canada. Linda was raised
in a working class, traditional Italian Catholic family
and knew that she wanted to pursue a modeling career
by the age of 12. Linda's big break came when she participated
the 1988 Miss Teen Niagara Contest at age 15, when a
modeling scout discovered her. Although she didn't win,
entering the contest was what ultimately led to Linda's
successful modeling career. Her

Tyra has gone from ugly
duckling as a child to a supermodel on top of the world
today. The Los Angeles born nymph has been a breakthru
model for the African American community. Tyra was the
first black female to appear solo on the cover of Sports
Illustrated's annual swimsuit issue.Tyra hadn't always
had dreams of becoming a supermodel. Elite modeling
agency spotted her in Paris just after she had graduated
and signed her up.

Karen Mulder
Karen was born in Vlaardingen,
Holland. Her father is a civil servant and her mother
a secretary. In 1987, Karen won a modeling contest in
Amsterdam, which makes her a finalist in Elite's Look
Of The Year worldwide competition. She won second place
and left high school to travel to Italy with her mother
for a formal photo shoot, and then to Paris for modeling
school, where the Elite modeling agency took over her
career. During the following three years, Karen climbed
the steps to supermodel status.
